Mission Statement
Professional School Counselors at Camelot Elementary School provide core curriculum lessons, individual counseling, and group counseling to promote the social-emotional, academic, and career development of all students. PSCs strive to instill interpersonal and problem-solving skills in students, so that they can become independent learners, develop meaningful relationships with others, and have equal access to education. It is the objective of the PSCs to ensure that students achieve to their highest ability, while feeling supported and safe. |
Vision Statement
Students will be strong problem-solvers, capable of communicating effectively, and able to take on the challenges of 21st century life. They will graduate high school college and career-ready, and possess the skills necessary to become leaders in their chosen field of study or work. These skills and leadership qualities will enable students to become contributing citizens of their communities, and provide others with the ability to succeed. |
What Do We Do?
School counselors help develop students' social, emotional, academic, and career skills. We provide a variety of services, such as individual and group counseling, mediation, and monthly core curriculum lessons for each class. We consult with teachers, staff, and parents to provide services that meet the needs of each child.
