2017-2018 Highlights
- Mrs. Schwartz started the Peer Mediation program! 5th and 6th Grade students have been selected and trained to help other students resolve their conflicts.
- Mrs. Schwartz began the Camelot Mentoring program! Several students were matched with staff members to meet regularly, have fun, and develop long-lasting, meaningful relationships .
- Ms. Parise worked with administrators to create Mindfulness Mondays and What Would You Do Wednesdays. Students watch a video to practice mindfulness, and have class discussions regarding situations that require them to employ empathy.
- Ms. Parise and Mrs. Schwartz planned and facilitated an absolutely AWESOME Career Day on March 16th! Students completed a survey that allowed them to select their top 5 speakers of choice (all Camelot parent volunteers!!!). We then created a schedule for each student that allowed them to see 3 of the 5 speakers they selected on the survey. This allowed for Career Day 2018 to be student-centered and interest-based. Students had an amazing time, and were very impressed by our fabulous volunteers!
